File Preparation

It is important for you to set up your files correctly to avoid extra charges and to insure a speedy delivery. Maximum printable area is 11x17 with bleed.

We would like your Quark or PageMaker files in their native format. However for some other programs, we have some recommendations. Please export all Illustrator and FreeHand files as eps's preferably with type changed to curves.

Font usage

To ensure font problems do not occur, we recommend you supply all fonts used in your document.
Mac users should supply both printer and screen font files for any PostScript font. Truetype fonts consist of only one file.

The printer font icon depicted above is an Adobe printer font. Other vendors icons will look different. Screen font families are generally contained in one font suitcase to minimize clutter.

Any font with a city name (such as Geneva, New York, Monaco) should never be used. These are Macintosh system fonts and are not valid PostScript fonts. They will usually default to Courier.

Indigo proofs will show you exactly what the job will look like printed. What you will see is an actual Indigo press sheet, not a proof from a different device.
